Article of the week - FFXV and KH: Do their ties run deep?

“Both games are developed by two completely different teams. The two of them – they don’t fight, but they compete – in a friendly way – and they try to create better things together.”

That’s what Nomura said about Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III back at E3 2013 (src). While it used to be more obvious how similar the two games’ gameplay would have been, now with XV’s modified battle system post-transition to Tabata, can we still take hints about KHIII’s possible gameplay based on FFXV’s? Well, I sure think so.
Under the cut I detail little KH-inspirations I found while playing XV’s Episode of Duscae demo, to prove they may still have that deep bond over their ‘friendly competition’, and list a few things I saw in FFXV that I hope are hints to what we’ll see in KHIII. Read more >
